You analyses are good but don't really clearly name the conventions you are using. Go back through your Flickr notes and add in the actual name of the convention. For example yo talk about putting the audience in the eyes of the killer. This is EXTENDED POV shooting, or SUBJECTIVE CAMERAWORK, and it has a particular effect on the audience - placing them in the eyes of a killer disturbs the normal moral boundaries and make the audience uneasy. Many horrors begin like this to achieve that effect. If you use our big A3 sheet of horror conventions you should be able to idenitify the conventions you have talked about, name them, and explore their imp[act on the audience.
ReplyDeleteAlso, you have focused on horror conventions. You could also explore trailer conventions further.
